SHOOT

Yaay!!! I’m very much excited today. It’s a new month and the beginning of the second half of the year. Not only that, today makes it two years since this journey began, and I can only say that God has been gracious.

Owning a blog was something I never thought I’d be doing. I zeroed it out of my mind as a thing that was not for me. Not that I had anything against it, but I somehow couldn’t picture myself fitting into the character of a “blogger”. How then did I find myself doing this? I’ll say that God brought me into it. I’ll share a little bit of how I came into doing this – not all the detail, though.

For me, I wouldn’t call writing something I was born with, but a thing I was called into. Growing up, I never fancied writing. In short, I didn’t so much as like it. It was just a mere obligation to fulfil as the English Language was compulsory for all and sundry. I initially thought writing letters were the easiest route to scale the hurdles of writing, but in the latter part of my secondary school, I picked an interest in story writing, being introduced to it by one of my siblings because I was given an assignment to compulsorily write a story. I found it to be a better option for letter writing especially when the demand had risen to 450 words per essay, as it provides an opportunity to deviate and write so much and then come back to the main subject of writing.

It was sometime in 2018 that my first piece was birthed, not because there was an assignment to submit or a test or exam to pass. I can still remember where I sat, the direction I was faced, what triggered the thought and then the message that came forth. I remember returning to my hostel, grabbing an empty jotter, and finding my way to the reading room to pen down the words “as it was hot”.

Down in 2018, writing continued, and towards the end of the year, I realised it was something God would have me do, as I intently looked in the direction of purpose.

Though I was already into writing and publishing articles online, I never brought myself into thinking I’ll have a blog. I didn’t pay close attention to it. There was a period of silence and then in 2020, there was a trigger to get back into it committedly. Because my mind had somehow been programmed to not accommodate the thought of having a blog, I continued using the platforms I had always used. Along the line, there was an interruption that brought restlessness until an alignment came and then the blog was birthed. There was a serious controversy within me before I settled to start up a blog.

To the name Yahweh’s Mouthpiece, I’ve discovered it to be not just a blog name but an identity received as revealed by God. I am Yahweh’s mouthpiece.

There were a lot of worries and concerns about starting a blog. The question of ability and concern about continuity. Jesus said, “which of you intending to build a tower sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to build it?”  But when you realise you have a Sponsor who has promised to fund the project with His unlimited grace, you rest on the assurance of His word and run with the assignment and work.

Boom! 1st July came and the blog was launched. I know the joy that flooded my heart as the blog went live, not because it was a “dream come through” but that as the songwriter put it, “Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus”. It’s been a journey of faith, I must say. I learnt to trust God and rely on His sufficient grace.

I do not so much as find writing as a natural off-shoot of my life, that is, as a talent, but rather a call to fulfil. Somehow, I do feel that every one of God’s own, especially his ministers should be a writer. First, we document our journey with God and writing is a means to communicate God’s mind to men. We have the bible today because men wrote as they were inspired by God.

One thing is true all through this time, I may not have posted as often as I should but I have never found the grace of God insufficient. Truly, He makes all grace sufficient towards us that we always having all sufficiency in all things may abound unto every good work.

To this end, I’ll be sharing shortly on the subject “SHOOT.” You can take it as my gift to you on this day.

Many times, we have certain burdens in our hearts and visions we intend to accomplish, but on looking at the present circumstances and situations, and the seeming limitations that are on our way, we hold back, sit back and shut up. We cow in and cop out. God has given a sound and furnished it in your spirit which He intends to cause to spread to the ends of the earth, but you find a limitation and a rejection of what is in you in your present city and see that rejection as a good ground to ground that plane that intends to fly into glory. Not so!

The arrows of the Lord’s deliverance for nations and generations are in your hands, shoot them.

Arrows are not meant to be forever kept in the quiver. They are designed and ordained to be shot to bring great deliverance and victory.

God also is shooting men as arrows in this end time to the ends of the earth to bring deliverance to nations. Please, do not hold back to the bow. Your purpose is to fly in the air and achieve and execute the purpose of the Master archer on the earth.

I don’t have the might and strength to shoot, you say. Do you realise that the hand of the Almighty is upon your hands and His voice utters the word shoot? His zeal accomplishes every word that proceeds from His mouth. Yes, His might is unleashed in the direction of whatever His mouth utters.

Do you want to start up something and you’re looking at the viability? All you need is to be assured of the verity of the word you heard from He that cannot lie and run.

What is that vision that is laid upon your heart? You may not have the wherewithal to execute it, but much more than that you have a sponsor who will by His zeal provide all it takes to execute it.

Give space for the river in you to flow, for in it lies the salvation and sustenance of nations and generations. Even creation awaits your manifestation.

Again, I say, even as the Lord says, SHOOT!!!

Hope this blessed you. Let me hear from you in the comments. Gracias.
