As high and far
As you can dream and dare,
By My power,
I’m able to take you there.

These were the words God spoke to my heart some months back when tried to cut myself off from my thoughts and dreams.
A little back-end story. It was a few weeks after I launched my first book, Revival Burdens. I was desiring and envisioning the book being read across different countries of the world. (And I’m putting this here as a declaration of faith. Amen.) My normal reserved self was trying to limit that vision and question the possibility of actualisation when God said those words. What an assurance it brought. Deep down within me I realised how I had been restraining and limiting the full expression of what God has embedded in me.
Jesus in Mark 9:23 said to the man whose son was troubled by an evil spirit, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible unto him that believeth.” While we know very well the scripture that with God all things a possible, there is a new revelation that Jesus is giving to us: to the man who believes, all things are possible.
The Holy Spirit began to expound on that word giving instances from the scriptures, and particularly about Israel. God gave them water out of the rock, but that was not the best that they could have experienced. Psalm 81:16 says “He (God) should have fed them also with the finest of wheat: and with honey out of the rock…” God wanted to do more for them but “they limited the Holy One of Israel” (Psalm 78:41).
I came to realise that though God is all-powerful, He can be limited in how much of His power He demonstrates, and by implication, we are limited in how much of Him we experience and how much of His plans we fulfil. And the greatest limitation God will be faced with is the limitation of our minds (our thoughts our faith). “For as he thinketh in his heart so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). God says, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are my ways your ways”. The generation of the children of Israel that left Egypt did not enter into the land of promise. This is not because God was not able to take them into the promise land; it is because they did not believe they could enter into the promise land. God has great plans and promises for you. If you don’t see them manifested, it is not because God cannot bring them to pass; it is because you do not believe Him to bring the promises to pass.
The disciples asked Jesus, “Why could not we cast him out”. Jesus’ response to them was “Because of your unbelief”. Jesus had given them power over unclean spirits, yet, because of their unbelief, they could not cast out that unclean spirit. There are certain things that are your inheritance in God, but without faith, you will not see the realization of those things. And this is beyond the things you merely say with your mouth; it is that which is most assuredly believed in your heart. In actual fact, your words bring to reality the picture in your thoughts. Paul writes that through faith men obtained promises.
Jeremiah was asked, “What seest thou”. And God responded, “thou hast well seen”. What do you picture and dream about your life? There is really no limit to what God can do. There is only a limit to what God does which is our ability to see it by the eyes of faith and dare it. Jesus would ask those who came to him for healing, “Do you believe I am able to do this?”. “He that cometh to God must believe…”
With God all things are possible, but the way to enter into God’s realm where all things are possible is by faith – believing that for you all things are possible. Don’t peg a limit to how much God can and should do in your life. Believe God to do things beyond what men consider possible.

So when the Lord gives you a promise, when a vision and a word comes to you appearing too good to be true or too high to be attained, respond like the man in Mark 9:23 “Lord, I believe; help thou my unbelief”.
For as high and far
As you can dream and dare,
God, by His power,
Is able to take you there.
